Here at the Bridge, we believe that God created the world. He created everything in it and that includes you. He has one desire, it is to know you, no, not just on the surface, no, not just on Sundays, He really wants to KNOW you and He wants you to KNOW Him. He wants to begin a personal, one on one relationship with you today.
It begins with Jesus …
What do you think about Jesus? Maybe you have never thought of Him at all….Some say he was a great teacher, some say a prophet. Maybe he is just made up and never really existed at all. But something is going on; He definitely changed things in the world of yesterday and in our world of today.
We have seen lives change because of Him. Our lives, here at the The Bridge, have changed because of Him. There is some reason that His recorded words are the most popular of books in the whole world.
Are you ready for a change? Are you ready to live in freedom? Are you ready to explore this idea of who Jesus is? Is it possible this is for real?
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.” – John 14:6
Jesus claimed He knew God. Jesus claimed he was God. This didn’t go over so well with the Jewish leaders of his day, actually it got them so riled up they killed him. So, if that happened 2000 years ago why does it matter now? How does it affect me? How can Jesus help me with my life, my work, my family, my surviving this place, why I am here?
God, the Creator of the universe, has a reason and plan for you and your life. He loves you and wants to help you because He is a God of relationship and love. He has an exciting adventure awaiting you, a life with Him. You don’t have to measure up to some impossible religious standard to know Him, you don’t have to strive for perfection first. You just have to take a few simple steps
If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,‘ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Through His death on the cross, and then rising from the dead, Jesus took all of your wrong and gave you all of His right. If you believe that and commit to following Him, your life will never be the same.
It’s really simple. Admit to your wrongs, that you are not perfect, declare you want to follow Jesus to see where this goes, believe He is who He says He is. That’s it. New AND eternal life.
