For the purpose of this agreement the “Renter” shall be identified as the person who fills out the Facility Rental Application form. They shall be designated on behalf of the individual, group, or organization renting the facilities and/or equipment.

- The Bridge Staff will be responsible to see that the facilities and equipment, as outlined in the agreement, are ready and waiting for use by the Renter. Set-up and tear-down is the responsibility of the Renter.
- The Renter is responsible for ensuring all equipment they have used is cleaned at the conclusion of their rental. This includes tables and chairs, and (if applicable) the kitchen areas inclusive of any cutlery, utensils, appliances and any other items used as well as surfaces such as countertops. In addition to tidying and cleaning provided by the renter, a janitorial cleaning fee will be charged to the renter at the posted rate of a minimum of $110 per event.
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on site, and the Renter is responsible for ensuring that they as well as their guests are aware and abide by this.
- Any individuals, groups or organizations renting the Bridge’s facilities and using The Bridge’s equipment will be held responsible for any and all loss or damage that occurs.
- The Bridge Church will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. The Bridge is not responsible for items that do not belong to the Bridge.
- The Renter will be held responsible for all damages to the facility, property, contents and equipment that occur during their rental period. Event Liability Insurance is highly recommended. The Renter may be required to submit a copy of their Event Liability Insurance to complete their booking.
- The facility booking is not complete until the Facility Rental Application form has been completed and approved by the Lead Pastor. The Renter must complete, sign, and return all applicable parts of this agreement at least 60 days in advance of the rental, or in the case of the facility rental occurring in less than 60 days all forms must be completed at the time of booking.
- The Renter agrees that all fees must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the event. In the event of a cancellation, notice must be given a minimum of 30 days in order to receive a refund. Cancellations occurring less than 30 days prior to the event may be eligible for a 50% refund. The Renter is responsible for all applicable fees over and above the The Bridge’s facility rental fees required for the event.
- Confetti, rice, or other similar items will not be used at the facility. Only masking tape can be used to attach items to walls and non-permanent style hooks to the ceiling. An additional cleaning rate will be charged to the Renter if non-approved items are used and cause difficulties for cleaning or wall repair.
- The Renter is responsible for contacting The Bridge no less than seven days in advance of the rental date concerning any special arrangements or requirements for equipment delivery and set up.
- All exit doors and fire routes must be kept free, clear, and accessible in the case of emergencies. Use of candles must be preapproved by The Bridge (must be self-contained) and used in accordance with fire codes.
- It is the responsibility of the Renter to ensure that the posted occupancy levels are not exceeded.
- Should this Agreement and its terms be contravened, The Renter will be unable to rent The Bridge’s facilities for future events.
- The Renter acknowledges they can be held liable for injuries and/or damage from otherwise failing to take action that will prevent foreseeable harm from occurring.
- The Renter understands that Ontario Provincial Police, Fire Inspector, and The Bridge staff may enter the facility at any time unannounced.
- The Renter agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Bridge Church from any and all claims, actions, damages, and costs that may result.
- Any misrepresentation or false claim by the Renter may nullify this agreement for rental.
- The Bridge Church shall incur no liability to the Renter for failure to perform, and of the covenants or conditions contained herein if such failure is due to acts of nature, or any other cause due to or beyond the control of the Bridge Church
- There is to be no smoking or vaping on the grounds as per the Smoke Free Ontario Act.
